Our new favorite review of Eyes
in the Dark comes direct from film-review site Apocalypse
Later where Hal Astell
says “Astounding…it’s refreshing to see such a
carefully crafted microbudget film.” It sounds like Hal really gets what we
were going for, and as a side note it is very
cool to be reviewed in the company of “Lady Snowblood”. Hal continues by
referencing some other entrants in the P.O.V. genre, saying: “Compared to its
obvious competitors, this is Oscar worthy writing".
November 2010

Eyes recently had a great screening at the Killer Film Fest in
Foxboro, Mass (See August announcement below), and Cinematographer Joseph Cole
was there to meet with fans and fellow filmmakers and participate in a post
screening Q&A.
“It was a great time to meet with the Horror community and see the projects that
everybody is working on. The East Coast fans were great and are really
enthusiastic about independent filmmaking and the horror scene. As a
cinematographer, our film has some sections of deep chiaroscuro where important
things are happening in the shadows, and the projection was spot on. The Killer
Film Fest crew put on a great festival.”
Killer Film Fest was sponsored by Monster Mini Golf and the Orpheum Theater,
and featured films, exhibitors, bands and even a crazy Orange
County Choppers custom bike. A reviewer was in attendance from Horror 101, calling Eyes
“…one of the better Blair Witch imitators".

Great thanks to everybody who came out for the screening and
Q&A at Local Sightings. We got a lot of enthusiastic feedback and were very
happy to see the film on a great projection system, so our hats are off to the
Northwest Film Forum for putting on this great event celebrating local film
making! You can also read a recent press release from our friends at Buried.com

Big news from our home town! Eyes
in the Dark has just been selected to play at the Northwest Film Forum’s Local Sightings
festival on Seattle’s own Capitol Hill. This will be a great opportunity for
the film to make a triumphant home-stand after making appearances this summer
east of the Mississippi. The screening will be on Saturday, October 2nd, at
11pm. The Local Sightings Film Festival runs October 1st – 6th at the Northwest
Film Forum on 12th Avenue between Pike and Pine.

Eyes in the Dark has just been
selected to play Saturday, November 13th as part of the Killer Film Fest in Foxboro,
Massachusetts. The film is one of nine features screening during the festival,
and at 30 miles from Boston and 20 miles from Providence, we hope to bring our
style of Northwest Horror to a big new East Coast audience.
